چکیده

Many results exist in the literature describing technological and theoretical advances in optical network topologies and design. However, an essential eeort has yet to be done in linking those results together. In this paper, we propose a step in this direction , by giving optical layouts for several graph-theoretical topologies studied in the literature, using the Optical Transpose Interconnection System (OTIS) architecture. These topologies include the family of Partitioned Optical Passive Star (POPS) and stack-Kautz networks as well as a generalization of the Kautz and de Bruijn digraphs.

Efficient Routing Algorithm on the Otis-networks

A number of recent studies have revealed that Optical Transpose Interconnection Systems (OTIS) are promising candidates as future high-performance parallel computers. In this paper we have proposed an efficient routing algorithm for Optical transpose Interconnection System. Some topological properties for the OTIS-Networks are derived including size, degree, diameter, and number of links. The p...

Theoretical Aspects of the Optical Transpose Interconnecting System Architecture

An attractive way of implementing efficient local interconnection networks is to use the Optical Transpose Interconnecting System (OTIS) architecture proposed in [8]. This system allows to optically interconnect some set of processors in a Free Space of Optical Interconnections (FSOI). Briefly, it consists of two lenslet arrays allowing a large number of optical interconnections from a set of t...

A New Efficient Distributed Load Balancing Algorithm for OTIS-Star Networks

Abstract The OTIS-Star interconnection network is one of the promising interconnection networks for future high speed distributed computing, The OTIS-Star topology consists of both edge and vertex symmetry, it has many attractive topological proprieties based on it is own hierarchical structure nature. Many research efforts have been devoted on this attractive network in literature, but these e...

3 OTIS Layouts of De Bruijn Digraphs ∗

The Optical Transpose Interconnection System (OTIS) was proposed by Marsden et al. [Opt. Lett 18 (1993) 1083–1085] to implement very dense one-to-one interconnection between processors in a free space of optical interconnections. The system which allows one-to-one optical communications from p groups of q transmitters to q groups of p receivers, using electronic intragroup communications for ea...
